Help Amanda Through Her Second Heart Surgery
Beschermde donatie
Dear friends and family,
I’m Aleena, Amanda Sparrin-Dufault’s cousin, and I’m reaching out with a heartfelt request for support as Amanda faces a significant challenge in her life.
Amanda’s journey has been marked by incredible strength and perseverance. At just 19, she became a dedicated caregiver for her premature son, caring for him until his heartbreaking passing at the age of seven. At 21, Amanda underwent her first heart surgery, and a year later, she bravely faced brain surgery. Recently, Amanda had a short hospital stay with multiple test, while working on scheduling her upcoming mitral valve replacement surgery.
After the surgery, she will require lifelong medication and regular medical follow-ups, including weekly blood work initially, transitioning to monthly as her recovery progresses.
Amanda will be in the ICU for about three days post-surgery, followed by a step-down unit for a total of a week, before continuing her recovery at home with cardiac rehab. The costs associated with the surgery, post-op care, and recovery are substantial. Her husband, Blake, has been tirelessly bringing her to multiple doctor appointments, assisting with daily living, and managing the needs of their home.
During her recovery, Amanda will be out of work, and family and friends will be helping to care for her. We’ve set up this GoFundMe page to offer Amanda and Blake some relief during this challenging time. For as much as Amanda has given back and been there for the people in her life, we want to ease their burden and be a blessing to them. Any donation, no matter how small, will help cover these expenses and allow Amanda to focus on her recovery.
Even if you cannot donate, please pray for Amanda and share this GoFundMe with others. Your support in any form is deeply appreciated and will make a meaningful difference in Amanda’s journey to recovery.
Thank you for your kindness, support, and generosity.
With heartfelt gratitude,
Aleena
