URGENT! Help Alyssa Get Legal Help!

Hello friends old and new alike,
Thanks so much for taking the time to visit and read this page. As you may know, our dear friend Alyssa was recently wrongfully arrested and is now facing charges. If you are fortunate enough to know Alyssa or have her as a friend, then you also know her as a kind and caring individual who is appreciative of and passionate about the little things in life: chasing sunsets, taking care of plants and animals, learning how and why things work, and of course, endlessly supporting those she loves. Someone who, regardless of her own journey, always finds the ability to be an incredibly empathetic, thoughtful person and true-blue friend. Point blank, Alyssa is the kind of person that shows up for her people, and now the time has come for us to show up for her in return!
Given the overwhelming caseloads that most public defenders face, particularly in the era of Covid, we are hoping to secure a criminal defense attorney to move forward with as we believe this is the best way to ensure that Alyssa's complex situation is understood and managed properly. Her arraignment is scheduled for next Wednesday, the 13th and the attorney she is hoping to work with requires an upfront fee of $3000 and then a final payment of $1500 within the following 1 month. We have set the initial goal at $3000 for the retainer fee but hope to meet it before extending it in order to pay the full cost on time afterwards. If it turns out that we are unable to raise the retainer fee in time, then we will default to a public defender and use the funds towards paying whatever various legal fees may then arise (fines, court fees, etc.). But we are hoping that we can do this. We know that we can do this! I (her close friend Hope Limansah) will be managing the account and will be fully-prepared to provide updates, receipts, and any relevant documentation to ensure your peace of mind in knowing that your aid is going where it is supposed to go. We would not be asking if we didn't have to.
This would be a difficult situation for anyone to navigate, but is particularly distressing for someone with overwhelming anxiety and trauma, pervasive health concerns, and little in the way of support or financial resources. We of course understand that times are difficult for everyone right now, but please, from the bottom of your heart, consider donating a little or sharing this link if you are willing and able. Your kindness would mean the world to us and could make all the difference.
Go team Alyssa!
All the Best,
Hope
