Our dear friend Alvaro needs our help. Earlier this year, Alvaro achieved a lifelong dream — he purchased a home for his family in March, full of excitement and hope for their future. But just a few short months later, tragedy struck.

Two weeks ago, a sudden and unexpected flood swept through Alvaro’s home, causing massive damage and leaving his family without a safe place to live. Because his home is not located in a designated flood zone, Alvaro did not have flood insurance — and sadly, his homeowner’s policy will not cover any of the losses.

The damage is extensive. Floors, walls, furniture, and essential belongings have all been destroyed. Contractors have estimated that repairs will cost over $80,000 — a devastating and overwhelming amount for any family to face, especially while displaced and trying to navigate this crisis.

Alvaro is one of the kindest, most hardworking people we know. He poured his heart and savings into this home, and now he’s facing the unimaginable.

We are asking our community, friends, and extended networks to come together and help Alvaro and his family rebuild. Any amount — no matter how small — will go directly toward repairs, replacing essentials, and helping this family recover from the emotional and financial toll of this disaster.
