Help Allison Kick Cancer’s Butt Again
“You have cancer.” These are words we pray we never have to hear. These are the words my strong, brave, beautiful & selfless sister, Allison DeAnda, heard not once but three times this past year. Three times. She endured months of chemotherapy and radiation. She has had 2 major surgeries and is on her way for the third. Most of these she had to experience alone because of the pandemic.
Her last day of chemotherapy - which should have been a celebration - she was alone. Radiation treatments - alone. Multiple nights in the hospital after surgery - all alone. As her family and friends this broke our hearts because we wanted nothing more than to be there with her. Because of COVID we couldn’t. Through out all of this Allison rarely complained. She has been such an inspiration to all of us. She has 3 kiddos at home counting on her & keeping her spirits up (have you heard some of Bryn’s jokes? ) She was always going to fight. That was never a question.
Not only has she been fighting cancer but she continues to give back. She single handedly raised thousands of dollars for pediatric cancer charities “Liv like a Unicorn” and “Headbands of Hope” - all while still recovering from surgery and fighting her third cancer diagnosis.
The expenses will never stop. The scans, the tests, the worry and fear of hearing those words again will always be there. The continued medicine. The side effects. All things that Allison will continue to deal with for the rest of her life. We want to help her at least not have to stress about all the expenses she is incurring.
If you know Allison you know how selfless she is. Maybe you’ve received a product of her generous spirit - her cookies (the best!) or a home cooked meal. Or maybe you don’t know her and came to learn about her fight through the brave & beautiful posts she has shared about her journey.
However you came here, we appreciate that you did and anything that you are able to give is so very appreciated.
Allison we love you. Keep on kicking cancer’s ass. Cancer picked the wrong girl! No one in this family fights alone ❤️
