Help Alejandra get emergency dental care

Hi, we met Alejandra, a 10-year-old girl in Vicente Guerrero Baja, Mexico who is in a lot of pain from four bad teeth.

 

She is hardly sleeping at night.

Currently she needs four root canals.

 

Alejandra is part of the Triqui tribe in Vicente Guerrero Baja, and they are the recipients of considerable abuse and racism in Mexico. In reality, and sadly they are considered by many in Mexico as less than human. Much of the Triqui tribe faces a lot of assaults and murder from other Mexican citizens coming in and wiping out the male population to steal everything they have.

 

It’s a community that has closed itself off from much of the world and is heavy into witchcraft. 

 

While here in the mission field we are partnered with a local Christian body making inroads to share the love of Jesus Christ. By helping Alejandra, we can continue to plant seeds into this community. Demonstrating they are valued and loved by God while helping this little girl get pain relief.

 

The cost of the four root canals and emergency fillings, along with prescriptions, can be covered with our goal. If we go over this goal, we will provide this small community with toothbrushes, toothpaste, and essential food supplies such as flour and eggs. The living conditions in the community are typically wood pallets held together with plastic tarps as the waterproofing with dirt floors. Water has to be brought in, and most of them are without electricity.

 

The living conditions are challenging.

 

We've been here for almost two months, building 6 homes for families just like these and bringing continued help to many of them. We've seen firsthand just how terrible the Triqui people are treated.

 

The local church we are partnered with has an incredible heart for the Triqui people.
