Hi, we’re Renee and Jennifer and we have been close friends with Kim for over 28 years. With the family's permission, we created this fundraiser to support their family as their brave 6 year old daughter, Addy, continues her fight against leukemia.

On January 5, 2025, the family received the news no parents should ever have to hear: their daughter, Addy, had been diagnosed with mixed phenotype acute leukemia—B/T/Myeloid, a rare and unusual form of leukemia.

Her treatment was expected to last approximately two and a half years. At the time, the family shared, “She’s a tough little kiddo, she’s got this!”

And tough she has been.

Now 6 years old, Addy is spunky, sweet, and full of life. She loves animals, being in nature, and spending time with her two younger twin siblings. She brings joy wherever she goes and has shown more bravery and strength in her young life than most people will ever be asked to show.

After months of intensive treatment, hospital stays, and unimaginable challenges, Addy reached remission. Their family were finally beginning to breathe again and look toward a brighter future.

Heartbreakingly, they recently learned that Addy’s leukemia has returned and has spread to her central nervous system.

Addy is now facing an even more intensive treatment plan, including chemotherapy and two spinal treatments each week to prepare for a bone marrow transplant. Prior to transplant, she will start receiving even more intensive chemo. Once there are no detectable cancer cells in her blood, the family will be temporarily relocated to Los Angeles for approximately three months so Addy can continue receiving the specialized care she needs.

The road ahead will be long, difficult, and financially overwhelming. As parents, they need to focus on helping Addy through treatment while also caring for their younger twins and keeping life as steady as possible for their entire family.

We are raising funds to help cover treatment related expenses, everyday necessities, activities and comforts to keep Addy occupied during long hospital stays, and practical support such as a cleaning service and a mother’s helper. This assistance will ease some of the daily pressure on their family and allow them to spend their time and energy where it is needed most, beside Addy and caring for their twins.

Addy has already proven that she is a fighter. She is brave, deeply loved, and surrounded by a community that believes in her. Although we cannot take this battle away from her family, we can help carry some of the weight and remind them that they are not facing it alone.
