Help Adam and Amber rebuild (Irma)

My brother Adam Parr, his wife Amber McCammon, son Spencer and baby Annabelle live on St Thomas in the US Virgin Islands which has just been devastated by Hurricane Irma. They have lived there for many years and are well versed on how to prepare for a hurricane. They cut trees, boarded windows, and prepared a plan for the four of them to hide under the kitchen sink should the situation get really bad. Thankfully they listened to their intuition and fled the house at 2AM as the hurricane began to pick up speed. After the storm they returned to find a home with no roof or porches and all of their belongings strewn about and exposed to the still pounding rain.
We will count this family among the fortunate for escaping the storm with only damage to their personal property. However, as you can all imagine the loss of ones home and the destruction of the entire infrastructure of the place you live is a heartbreaking prospect that is hard to imagine. If you know Adam and Amber, or even if you don’t, please consider donating to help them rebuild.
It is our sincere hope that the insurance company will cover much of the costs of rebuilding the home. However, there are countless other expenses they will incur. There are the obvious and immediate needs of batteries, clean water, mosquito nets and various other supplies. There will also be numerous expenses for months to come as they clean, rebuild, and replace their already very minimalistic island life. The amount listed here will in no way cover all of these expenses but is meant as an offering from friends, relatives, and generous strangers to help make the sting of this tragedy a little less painful as well as let them all know there are people out there that love them. I will set them as the beneficiary of this campaign so they can withdraw the funds directly.
