Help Achieve a Lifelong Dream

Since I was a child, I’ve dreamed of flying. At 50 years old, I’m finally close to making that dream a reality—but this isn’t just about me. It’s about using that dream to help others.

At 15 I was a beach lifeguard, then straight into the Marine Corps. I started my adult life serving and saving people. When I got out of the Corps I raised a family with my wife. The kids are in college now and I want to serve again.

When floods or storms strike along the Eastern Seaboard, towns can be cut off for days. Roads wash away, bridges collapse, and families are left waiting for critical supplies. I want to change that by using an amphibious ultralight aircraft—the Ramphos—to reach places that cars, trucks, or even boats can’t always get to. I want to pioneer the usage of amphibious ultralight aircraft in the disaster relief context. I want to set the example.on how such crafts can be a life saver.

Why This Matters

  • In 2024 & 2025, catastrophic flooding affected communities across the Eastern Seaboard, and in the heartland highlighting the vulnerability of many areas to extreme weather events:
  • Texas (2024-2025): Severe storms and flooding impacted Harris, Montgomery, Liberty, Polk counties, Hill Country region, with over 400 rescues reported as waters rose rapidly. Governor Greg Abbott issued a disaster declaration for these regions, emphasizing the widespread damage and need for immediate assistance.
  • South Florida (June 2024): A tropical disturbance brought heavy rainfall, leading to significant flooding in areas like Hallandale Beach and Hollywood. Approximately 20 inches of rain fell in just two days, prompting states of emergency and widespread disruptions.
  • Florida's Big Bend Region (September 2024): Hurricane Helene made landfall as a Category 4 storm, causing severe flooding and infrastructure damage. The storm's remnants led to catastrophic inland flooding across several southeastern states, including North Carolina, isolating communities and complicating rescue efforts.

These events demonstrate the critical need for versatile and rapid-response capabilities in disaster-stricken areas. The Ramphos aircraft, with its amphibious design and short takeoff and landing capabilities, is uniquely suited to provide timely aid to communities cut off by floods and other natural disasters.

The Aircraft & Its Capabilities

The Ramphos amphibious ultralight is uniquely suited for this mission:

Takeoff distance: 200–330 ft

Landing distance: ~200 ft

Useful load: ~500 lb (enough for pilot, fuel, and supplies)

Surface flexibility: Can land on pavement, water or short grass fields

That means I can carry 200+ lbs of supplies—bottled water, food, first aid kits—directly into isolated areas, even if roads are destroyed.

How the Funds Will Be Used

Transparency matters. Here’s exactly how your donation will help:

$15,000-18,000 – Aircraft (Ramphos amphibious ultralight)

$2,000 – Pilot training & certification

(If there is extra)

$1,000 – Safety equipment (life vests, GPS, emergency radios, first aid)

$2,000 – Initial stockpile of emergency supplies

Total Goal: $20,000

How You Can Help

Your donation doesn’t just help me achieve a dream—it helps prepare the entire Eastern Seaboard for the next storm, flood, or natural disaster. From the mountains of Tennessee to the floodplains of the Carolinas and the rivers of New England, together we can create a resource that saves time, delivers aid, and maybe even saves lives.

Even if you can’t give, please consider sharing this campaign with friends, family, or anyone who believes in turning dreams into something bigger than ourselves.

Thank you for helping me make this vision take flight.
