Help Abdulwahab Ibrahim Bahar Get A New Bike

Donation protected

Help raise funds for Abdulwahab Ibrahim Bahar, 26, to buy a new bike as his bike was stolen while working as an Uber Eats courier.  He chased the thief for 10 minutes down St George's Road before admitting defeat.

Abdulwahab came to Glasgow from war-torn Sudan as an asylum seeker around 18 months ago. He was recently granted leave-to-remain which means he is allowed to work, Abdulwahab had his sights set on a freelance delivery job.

He saved up for 12 months and borrowed money from friends for a good quality electric bike, from Dales Cycles, which cost £2500.

He added: “The money is good for someone like me and I can fit the work around my English course at West College Scotland which has been taking place on zoom during the lockdown.

"I now don't have a bike and I still owe my friends the money I borrowed."

Help us raise some funds for a new bike, and potentially help pay off his stolen one.

Update Requested by Go Fund Me:

1.Who are you and where are you from:
My name is Kirsty and I'm from Glasgow

2.Your relationship or contact to the intended recipients of your fundraiser's donation?
I don't have a relationship with the recipient, but after reading the Glasgow Live article and seeing the numerous comments below about people willing to donate, I decided to start this fundraiser as a way to contribute and help others do the same.   I've contacted Glasgow Live to help act as the intermediary, in order to get Abdulwahabs details so we can get the funds to him and get him back on his (new) bike!

There is another Go Fund Me page created for the same recipient, (https://uk.gofundme.com/f/replace-abdulwahabs-stolen-bike?qid=f6cbf06dcf1253415da80b5f1bfd2dd3) and I have reached out to the organizer to work together across both pages to raise as much as possible as well as getting in contact with Abdulwahab.

3. A clear explanation of how the donations will be spent:
100% of the donations will go to Abdulwahab so he can buy his new bike, and also pay off his old bike that was stolen, as he borrowed money to purchase that one.

4.Your plan for delivering the fundraisers donations to the intended recipient?
Once we get in touch with Abdulwahab, we will get the fund directed straight to his bank account.
