Help a young family get back on the road

Spende geschützt

Hello. I am a husband and stepfather to 3 beautiful children who gave me a shot at a normal life. I come from a very broken home, both parents went to prison when I was a baby and it just got worse from there. I started meth when I was 13 and experienced homelessness. I ruined my life for years, until I went to prison in 2017. When I got out, I moved back to Spokane and reconnected with my high-school sweetheart. Katie was struggling with her 6-month-old daughter, 1 1/2 year autistic son, and 3-year-old daughter. When we came together, it was like there was a light at the end of our very dark tunnels. But it was the same tunnel, we entered from opposite ends, suffered and struggled until we reached the light. She was mine, and I was hers. I stayed sober, we got married, I became dad to these wonderful children, I got into construction and our lives just kept getting better, slowly. After 2 years, I got licensed and bonded as a framer and I loved it. Life was great. We moved out of the ghetto into a much nicer and expensive neighborhood, financed a used car and boom, we couldn't find work framing or otherwise, we struggled for months until I found a wonderful job, I've been climbing out of debt, up the ladder slowly. Then our nice car blew the engine. I couldn't afford to fix it. It got repo-ed, my boss sold me his favorite minivan and on June 29th my family and I were on our way home from Silverwood, in the middle of nowhere, 11:30 at night I rolled the van twice. My whole world came crashing down in an instant. I was relatively unhurt and was so scared for my family. I jumped from the van and pried the doors open to find my kids frightened, shaken but unharmed! Thank God!.

My wife on the other hand was not so lucky. She flopped all around and her head broke her window, and became embedded with many pieces of glass, her knee smashed into the cup holder and was busted open. She was covered in blood and getting worse by the second. Luckily another car came right up and we put the kids inside. My life360 app notified 911 immediately and they responded so fast. Katie, (wife), went in full neck brace and immobilizer into the ambulance and was rushed to Kootenai hospital. The woman whose house we crashed in front of was nice enough to take us to the hospital as well! Scariest night of my life. I'm sore, kids have minor seatbelt rash. Katie's x-rays and all that came back as good. We cleaned her wounds, pulled all the glass shards from her scalp, stitched it up and we were on our way. Now here we are. Broken but not dead, ready to move on with life but I'm stuck with no vehicle to get to work, or take my family to any of the many appointments they have per week. No way to get groceries. Falling behind on bills.

I've never asked for help in my life. But I need it now. Oh man, do I need it. Please, if you can spare any amount at all my family and I will appreciate it more than I could ever say. Or if all you can do is spread our story and get it to others who may be able to help, we appreciate it all the same. Please help me get my family back on track. My autistic son was finally getting somewhere with his therapy and behavior. I just want my family to have a good life. With less pain and sadness than my wife and I endured. I have found multiple vehicles online for cheap, I only need enough for a dependable but very cheap 5 seater and the sales tax/registration fees. Any remainder would go towards bills. We were even $450 short on rent, but they waived the late fees. Thank you to anyone who helps. Thank you to anyone who passes along my story. Thank you to anyone who even reads my story. Your prayers are needed and welcomed. Thank you. Just so it's clear, all donations will go towards a vehicle and all that goes with it, any extra will pay bills.
