Help A Gazan Refugee Persue His Education
Spende geschützt
My name is Osama Alrawagh, and I’m a 24-year-old Medical Laboratory Science graduate from Al-Azhar University in Gaza. For years, I’ve studied under some of the most difficult conditions on earth — constant power cuts, limited internet, closed borders, and ongoing conflict. But I’ve never let any of it stop me from dreaming, learning, and pushing forward.
Now, I’ve been accepted into a Master’s program in Biomedical Science at Liverpool University. This opportunity represents more than just a degree — it’s a step toward a future where I can contribute to global medical research and bring that knowledge back to serve my community.
Unfortunately, I cannot afford the cost of tuition, travel, visa, and initial living expenses. My family and I have already given everything we can to get me through undergraduate studies. That’s why I’m turning to the global community — to people like you — to help me take this next step.
Why This Matters
Students from Gaza face immense challenges beyond academics. Pursuing higher education abroad is almost impossible without outside support — not due to lack of talent, but due to financial and political limitations. Despite all odds, I’ve secured university admission.
What I need now is the financial bridge to make it real.
My long-term goal is to specialize in molecular biology and biotechnology and contribute to cutting-edge research that improves lives — including those in under-resourced regions like my own.
What the Funds Will Cover
• University tuition and registration fees
• Visa application and document translation
• Travel and health insurance
• Initial housing and living expenses
• Language preparation course (if required)
Goal: £30,000
Tuition Fees are £18,000, I need to show the British Government I have £9000 living expenses as part of my visa application, and the remaining £3000 will be spent on the visa application, flights, and textbooks.
Timing Matters
If the funds are secured before September 2025, I will be able to enroll this year and begin the program on time.
If it takes longer, I am prepared to defer my admission to the next academic year while continuing to work hard and raise the needed support.
In the interest of clarity, the funds will be held for me by my friend Cam Atkinson, as I am unable to set up a UK bank account currently. They will be transfered to me when my International Student Bank Account has been approved.
