Help a Gaza family reach safety

My name is Isabelle Tarran, from London.

I am raising funds on behalf of my friend Nour, who is trying to get her family to safety after they have had their home mostly destroyed and currently have nowhere to go and have run out of any options for survival. My friend is the only breadwinner in the family, and is unable to cover the costs of their travel to safety on her own. Her family consists of 7 members (4 YO boy, 13 YO boy, 17 YO boy, 19 YO boy, 21 YO girl, 43 YO mother and 50 YO father), and they are currently trying to figure out where to move as they escape airstrikes, snipers and arrests and have nowhere to go.

Amid growing threats for the safety of people in Rafah and across the Gaza strip, there is no option left but to evacuate her family to safety. In order to do that, my friends needs to collect $40K (£32k) to be able to get her family out. This money will be donated and then given to one of the coordination groups. The money will be handed out to my friend in cash after I collect them in my account.

The fees are as follows:

£4k x 7 persons = £28k

£2.5k apartment rent

£1.5k maintenance

The money is going into my account because my friend is on a visa in the UK and there are certain limitations and restrictions to how much money can go into a non-citizen's account.

The reason for anonymity is because this is truly a last resort, and as a security precaution in a world becoming more and more suspicious of Palestinians on the basis of their identity, and showing the identities and faces of people won’t do them any good. Any donation counts.
