Hi, my name is Lizzy. My friend is an excellent primary school teacher, a kind and caring person, and a new mum to a beautiful baby girl. She needs your help.

In October her and her partner suffered a house fire that blew out a window and smoke damaged the entire property. The fire was in the spare room where, just a few months later, they would bring home their new baby. After 4 months of endless emails and phone calls, the insurance company finally told them they’d only be paying out to fix the room where the fire took place and not the entire property. This does not account for the smoke damage that affected the carpets, walls, and furniture in the rest of their flat. Their bed has be tossed, the sofa binned, and all their soft furnishings binned.

In February 2026 she gave birth to a beautiful baby girl, but wont be able to take the baby back home without professional cleaning to remove the carcinogenic smoke damage. This cleaning can cost anywhere from £1500-£5000, not to mention the cost of all the furniture that needs to be replaced to bring their family home.
