Help a family after a year of trauma

Emma tragically lost her husband in June. This was a very sudden death that was witnessed by their 5 children. Sids (Marc) death has left a gaping whole in the families lives. Emma has lost the other half of her whilst keeping all of her children the main priority. She has had to deal with the financial impact of losing her husband, Sid was the main earner in the family and supported them. Emma has had the pressure of making sure her children can stay in their family home. Each day she has got up and put each and everyone of her children 1st.

In October Emma, her boys, her extended family and ourselves decided we needed some fun away from home.

We arranged to go to Skegness for halloween.

We didn’t get there.

The vehicle that Emma was driving carrying 3 of her children and my son was hit head on by another vehicle. The accident has left Emma and her son (12) with life changing injuries along with the mental scars of the crash for herself and the children.

Emma’s car has gone.

Yes they are still here however life is now more difficult, not only has her husband passed away but her independence has now gone.

Emma and her children have so many hospital appointments that she is having to rely on other people to help. Anyone that knows Emma knows that she is the ‘helper’ not the one to be helped.

Sadly her youngest son (6) will now not go in a car unless Emma is driving. He hasn’t been able to go to school since the accident.

The vehicle Emma had wasn’t just a car… it was her wedding car and it was Sids pride and joy.

It is my hope that people can help this family however small. They have had their fair share of misfortune and it would be lovely to show them that we can help give her some independence back and hopefully some money towards replacing the car for all 6 of them.
