My colleague (name withheld for safety and privacy) is an incredible mom who has been bravely enduring an abusive relationship for a long time, while trying to protect her child and build a better future. She is ready to take the courageous step to leave — but she needs our help to make it possible. It was not easy for her to agree to a fundraising campaign, but we simply saw no other way.

She is employed; however, her job is tied to her ability to access childcare, which limits her options for new, higher-paying employment. Right now, she urgently needs support to cover:

• A down payment on a reliable car (and a few months of car payments)

• A security deposit and first month's rent for a safe apartment

Every dollar raised will go directly toward helping this woman and her child escape to safety, rebuild their lives, and finally have the fresh start they deserve.
