Help 462 Halsey support Golden Harvest Food Pantry

The 462 Halsey Farm community started supporting a neighborhood food pantry, Golden Harvest Food Pantry, in May of 2020. Every week, we place a bulk produce order directly from GrowNYC for the pantry. Ordering produce directly from GrowNYC provides the pantry with fresher produce than they can order on their own behalf. Ordering additional produce is also useful, because pantries often run out of produce, especially during the colder months. 

The increased need for emergency food during the pandemic has unfortunately not subsided.  We want to keep providing the pantry with fresh, local food in the quantities they need (which are more than we can grow). It costs about $1000 - $1200 a month to place a weekly bulk produce order for the pantry.  Our overall goal is to raise $10,000 to support the pantry, but we are starting out with a smaller goal. 

We know that eating fruits and vegetables is a huge part of a healthy body. We had 462 Halsey Community Farm believe that everyone deserves access to fresh, healthy, delicious, affordable food. Thank you for your support and for helping to bring accessible, healthy food to more people in Bed Stuy!
