Heliana Lisciandra’s Funeral

Dear Sisters and Friends,

It is with extreme sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved sister Heliana (Pelaez) Lisciandra. Heliana was a bright beam of hope in so many people's lives.  My name is Janeice (Torres) Kasak and I met Heliana at Rider University where we pledged Lambda Theta Alpha in the Fall of 1996. 

Our friendship and sisterhood was instant which led to a lifelong journey together. Heliana has had an ever lasting impact on me and many others. She was known for always going above and beyond for the people she loved, even after she became very ill. She was a go getter, a fighter, and never allowed her illness to get in her way. She lived life to the fullest. There is so much to be admired about Heliana. We will miss her dearly.

We are raising money to cover the costs of the funeral and memorial services for Heliana’s family as her passing was sudden. Any excess money will be donated to her sons Gianni and Luca’s college education fund.

Obituary:

Heliana P. Lisciandra of Marlboro passed away suddenly on August 30, 2021.

Born in Peru, she was a graduate of Elizabeth High School, she obtained her Bachelor's Degree from Rider University and her Masters Degree from the New School in Manhattan. Spending time with family and friends was what brought her the greatest joy.

She was the devoted wife of Giuseppe, loving mother to Gianni and Luca, Beloved daughter of Ruben and Gladys Pelaez, dearest sister to Angela Rodriguez and Ruben Martin Pelaez.

Services:

A gathering of family and friends will take palce on Friday Sept. 3rd from 4:00- 8:00PM at the Michael Hegarty and John Vincent Scalia Home For Funerals 3377 US Highway 9, Old Bridge N.J.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered on Saturday Sept. 4th 11:00 AM at St. Gabriel's Church, Entombment will follow in Marlboro Memorial Cemetery.
