Scott and Debbie Heiman and their four children have lived a life of intense fear, extraordinary love, highs and lows, and memory making for their two sons and two daughters for the last 5 years. Five years ago, almost to the week, Scott was diagnosed with Desmoplastic Small Round Cell Tumors. Since then he has fought, with God's help, and lived through surgeries, infections, fevers, pain, radiation, and untold chemotherapy treatments. He now has peritoneal tumors, tumors in his liver, cancerous nodules in his lungs, and cancer in lymph nodes. He had radiation for cancer in his pelvic bones.
Throughout it all he has been present for his family. He worked for some years until unable to continue. He encourages his family in their love for their Lord. He pushes through pain and exhaustion and nausea to be with his family at church, children's sports and concerts, vacations with family, backyard games, and as many normal activities as possible with his treatments. As his cancer progresses things are becoming more difficult. Debbie provides in home child care to provide income, but with the recent world wide health issues this can't happen and neither can the family outings.
At the beginning of this journey friends held a fund raiser for them, that was over 4 years ago. With four children to school, feed, clothe and shelter things get tight. BadgerCare provides much of the medical care, but there are always expenses. Cars and homes will eventually need repairs. This Go Fund Me has been set up to help provide for this family both now and in the near future. My hope is that you see their need and their worthiness for your consideration and for your prayers.
