Heaton Park Repair Project 2020

Devastatingly a part of Heaton Park’s play area was destroyed by fire on 13th September 2020.

The play area was not that long ago renovated  at a cost of £100.000.

Heaton Park is used by the local community but also by people far and wide come to enjoy the park and surrounding areas.

If anyone can spare anything to help repair the play park in this wonderful park it would be greatly appreciated.

We’ve put £15,000 as a target but we’ve been told it could cost much more.

We’ve received information that the cost is more likely to be around £25,000 so please keep sharing and donating.

We are nearly at £8,000 at the time of writing this which is an amazing achievement and thank you so much for all your generosity 

All funds will be passed to Urban Green who manage the park to contribute towards the refurbishment.

Update 18th September 2020:

We are still to hear from Urban Green about the status of any insurance claims but any monies raised over and above what is needed to reinstate what was destroyed will be passed to Urban Green to be used for repairs and improvements to Heaton Park and other local play areas.
