Headway Northstaffs who brought our Dave back!

I am taking part in ‘The Great Glencoe Challenge’. A Trekathon is a bit like a marathon, covering the same distance (26.2 miles), walking off road and over mixed terrain through the Scottish Highlands on 1st July 2023.

I am raising money for Headway Northstaffs, as this Charity has been remarkable helping my Dad through his rehabilitation from having a severe stroke in January 2022. When Dave had the stroke, it took his speech, full right side and left him double in content being told by the Doctor he will never walk again. Headway have not only got him walking with a quad stick again, they have allowed him to have some independence back and also started bringing our Dave back to a ‘new’ normal. We still have a long route ahead of us in terms of rehabilitation however, Headway have been there every step of the way and I would love to give something back to them. As we could never repay the amount they have done for bringing Dave back to us.
