mein Name ist Emma und ich befinde mich im letzten Jahr meines Schauspielstudiums. Ich bin auch im Kostümdesign tätig und arbeite schon lange an einem Herzensprojekt. Zusammen mit Nanny Friebel und Kuan-Hsuan Lee möchte ich eine Geschichte in Form eines One-Take-Films erzählen.

Die Handlung dreht sich um eine Selkie (Meerjungfrau), die mit anderen Meerjungfrauen im Ozean lebt. Es gibt eine Mythologie, die besagt, dass alle Frauen, die von Männern verletzt wurden, zu Sedna kommen,die Herrscherin über das Meer. Die Selkie sieht immer wieder, wie neue Frauen am Grund des Meeres ankommen und wird mit ihrer eigenen Vergangenheit konfrontiert. Sie findet keine Ruhe, und die Situation eskaliert.

Das Projekt behandelt die Frage, wie lange ein Mensch – in diesem Fall eine Frau – das Unglück dieser Welt aushalten kann. Es wird ein Kunstprojekt, das viel mit Tanz arbeitet und mit Bildern der Fashion-Szene spielt.

Damit ich dieses Projekt verwirklichen kann, mit Kostüm, Raum, Technik, Licht, Leben und all meinen lieben Unterstützer*innen in Kamera, Schnitt, Ton, Schauspiel etc. auch etwas zurückgeben kann, würden wir uns sehr freuen, wenn ihr uns mit einem kleinen Beitrag unterstützen könntet.

Hi everyone

My name is Emma, and I am in the final year of my acting studies. I am also involved in costume design and have been working on a passion project for a long time. Together with Nanny Friebel and Kuan-Hsuan Lee, I want to tell a story in the form of a one-take film.

The plot revolves around a Selkie (mermaid) who lives in the ocean with other mermaids. There is a mythology that states that all women who have been hurt by men come to Sedna, the ruler of the sea. The Selkie repeatedly sees how new women arrive at the bottom of the ocean and is confronted with her own past. She finds no peace, and the situation escalates.

The project addresses the question of how long a person – in this case, a woman – can endure the misfortunes of this world. It will be an art project that heavily incorporates dance and plays with images from the fashion scene.
