Matthew's Trip To Germany

My name is Matthew, and I'm a student from Washington State. This summer, I will be going on a 2 week trip to Germany with some fellow students from my German class. The trip is hosted by ISE, Interculture Student Experiences.

Over the course of the trip, we will travel around the country, learning about the people and culture Deutschland, putting our knowledge of the culture and language to use in our daily interactions. 

For a few days of our trip, each student will stay with a host family chosen to fit their likings and personalities. These families are opening their homes to us, and volunteering their time, to give us an up close and personal experience of life in their country.

I have a fascination with foreign culture and languages, and studying them has not only helped to learn that language, but to grasp a higher understanding of my native one. I am especially fond of German, and plan to take both year 3 and 4 next year as a senior.

I am looking to raise $5000. This will pay my airfare, food, and expenses, as well as leave me a little spare spending money for the trip. This is an incredible life experience that has been offered to me, and I thank you for your support.
