Paul's Fight With Cancer

Donation protected
Hi,

My name is Samantha. I am starting this for my father, Paul and mother Sheila.

Paul and his wife Sheila never ask for anything from anyone, but would benefit from kind donations during this difficult time.

Paul who is only 55 years old, was recently diagnosed with a large tumor and lesion on his Lumbar spine that caused an unstable (dangerous) fracture. We later found out that he has kidney cancer that has metastisized (moved) to his spine. This will require a complex high risk surgery to his spine, surgery to his kidney, radiation, and possibly chemotherapy.

Paul can no longer work and will be going through the filing process for disability.

Paul brings joy to many people's lives with his pranks and goofy sense of humor. I don't know where our family would be without him.

Any donations would go towards his medical expenses and bills.
Anything helps during this time.

If donations cannot be sent please keep him in your thoughts. Send good vibes and prayers his way.

Please help him fight his battle with cancer.

Thank you!

Update:

Paul made it through his 7.5hr surgery with prep/recovery totalled 12hrs. Paul is out of ICU as of 4/2. He is a trooper! He has sat up and stood for a short period of time and soon will be ambulatory before we know it with physical therapy. Paul loves his projects and is a person who cannot sit still for very long, so he is very determined.

Thank you everyone who kept him in your thoughts, sent prayers and good vibes his way.
He has a long journey ahead of him still, but this was the surgery everyone was most worried about.

Thank you everyone for the donations. It means so much to both Paul and Sheila to have all this support ❤️

Update 4/7

Paul was discharged home today. We are thankful to have him with us again. He is still weak and is going to require PT. He made it up our driveway with the walker and downstairs which is quite impressive! He has an arterial blood clot in his wrist/forearm still but seems to be moving and breaking up with continued anticoagulants. This could take months to resolve.

The tumor biopsy results confirmed the cancer came from his kidney.

He did have some weight loss, but has his appetite back.

When asking him what he wanted for dinner his first night home he immediately said, "Taco Bell." That's Paul for ya. We will be getting him some ensure this weekend.

Many more doc appointments, treatments, and possibly 1 more surgery to go.
His wife Sheila is taking care of him 24/7 until he gains his strength back which could be a few more weeks. I will help as much as I can in between work, luckily they are only a few stair cases away.

Thank you everyone for the support ❤
