Harvey's Small Business Victims

As small businesses owners dependent on our geographic location, the weather, and to a reasonable extent tourism, our hearts, thoughts and prayers are with those in the track of Hurricane Harvey.   We own and operate Windward SeaVenture Charters, LLC in Kemah, Texas.  We realize we were realistically within 100 miles of potentially having our business and livelihood destroyed. This being said, and being a firm believer in karma and what goes around comes around, we would like to do what we can to help other small businesses similar to us who are in need in the wake of Hurricane Harvey. We work closely with some of theses businesses, such as The Laughing Horse Lodge, Drop Anchor Bar and Grill and some of the golf cart rental companies in Port Aranses when our charter boats sail there.  We have set up a Gofundme.com account to take donations for small businesses, such as those previously mentioned, that are victims of their dependence on their geographic locations.  These funds will help business owners pay bills and rebuild their businesses while they are not able to continue regular business operatins.   It is a strugle for small business owner when they loose revenue when closed due to sircumstances like these.  The funds raised from this Gofundme campaign will be used to supplement this lost income till they can reopen for business.  We here at Windward SeaVenture will personally deliver the funds raised by this campaign to businesses such as The Laughing Horse Lodge and Drop Anchor Bar & Grill.  It is these businesses that make the Rockport/Port Arkansas area such a pleasant place to visit during more favorable conditions. We appreciate contributions to those who have lost everything they’ve risked and ask you to help them to make your next stay in South Texas a memorable experience again.
