The Harkni are ready to adopt!!
As some of you may already know, we have been trying to start a family ourselves since 2012, and have since gone through 5 devastating miscarriages. Our doctors have run every available test and cannot explain it. We can keep trying and hoping for the best, but there is no guarantee that we will ever have a biological child.
However, having biological children is thankfully not the only way to grow your family!
What we would love is to adopt a newborn. Adoption through agencies can cost between $20,000-50,000, so this is far beyond our means. Our best-case scenario is that, by spreading the news that we are looking to adopt, the people we already have in our lives can help us find someone who is looking to give up a baby. This way, we will only have to pay for a home study to be conducted, and for the associated legal fees.
There are MULTIPLE ways in which you can help us with this whole process.
The first is to keep an eye and ear out for a baby for us! Please let us know if you come across any opportunity. We would like to find someone before they involve an agency that would hold us subject to their fees.
The second is to PRAY. Matthew 18:19-20: “Again, truly I tell you that if two of you on earth agree about anything they ask for, it will be done for them by my Father in heaven. For where two or three gather in my name, there am I with them.”
The third way to offer your support (as you may have guessed from the GoFundMe page :D ) is financially. We will do absolutely everything we can to cover as much of the costs of adoption as possible. However, the cost is great, and we have read and heard nightmare accounts of last-minute expenses of thousands upon thousands of dollars popping out of nowhere. We do not know exactly the path that the Lord plans for us to take with this process, but we do know that we will need help.
Please understand that you are not required to give us anything at all, but that we will appreciate absolutely anything you can offer. God has always provided us with exactly what we needed when the time was exactly right, and we fully trust that He will do the same in this case.
