Happy to Deliver is launching an initiative designed to support local businesses, drivers, and members of the community. The initiative is to help restart the local economy that has been drastically affected by the COVID-19 pandemic.
How will your donations be used?
Money will be used to purchase essential goods requested by community members in need from local small businesses. The goal is to raise money to help out local community members with their needs, support small businesses within the neighborhood, all while providing jobs to the thousands of drivers that depended on income from Uber, Lyft and other transportation services.
Who will receive the purchased goods?
Senior citizens, those who must stay home due to self-quarantine but need supplies, families who have lost their income, and/or have a sick individual they are caring for at home.
Community
Another goal for this initiative is to simply come together. Whether it be through donations or your voice. Support comes in so many forms! We need your help finding owners of businesses within your neighborhood or people you personally know who need to increase their company sales, would be open to curb-side deliveries, donating (anything counts), and perhaps most importantly, sharing this message. There is so much struggle right now, ranging from an individual's household to a global impact. In addition to boosting local small businesses, we want to donate their products to those in need. We would love to respond to any questions or ideas regarding the logistics and basis of this initiative.
