Happy Sparrow's New Nest

The Happy Sparrow family is made up of not only the faces you see here. But of many others who have brought love and light through the doors.  It is made up of fun family gatherings, distant friends reuniting, sweet birthday celebrations, nervous blind dates, impromptu chess challenges, casual business meetings and lazy afternoon daydreams.  It is made up of each of YOU.  We have been so very honored to share in these moments with you these past eight years and thank you for choosing us. 

Thank you for allowing us to offer our space as a safe place for love, hope and faith to grow.  Thank you for trusting us with your special people, occasions and memories.  Thank you for being a part of nourishing community and supporting a different way of life.  We believe the love in our hearts can and will overcome anything that we face and that God has good plans for each of us. We hold you dear in our hearts and give thanks for you every day. This has not just been a business to run.  It’s been a statement of a way of life. A life focused on family and friends and cherishing experiences over things. A life making memories and seeking adventure in the everyday, ruled by love above all.  We thank you for allowing us to be a part of your life.  And thank you for being a part of ours and sharing in our journey.

As many of you know, these have been some trying months as we’ve wrestled with the next steps for our family and The Happy Sparrow.  It’s been tough as we absorbed the shock of over-the-top rent increases while also facing the reality of being so far away from family and aging parents.  We had made the decision to move our family and risk possibly closing the shop permanently.  With torn hearts we listened to each of you share your sentiments and your disappointment and have been struggling with our decision.  Soooooooo…… Although we still want to eventually move back down south to be closer to family, we feel a need to follow our hearts and have decided to do all we can to fulfill its pull to make sure The Happy Sparrow continues.   

As super exciting as this is, now that we made that call, we face another challenge of funding the move to a new location.  We have a bit of a budget set aside but would need additional funds to supplement build out and moving costs.  At the suggestion and urging of many of you, we decided to set up this gofundme.  Thank you for the encouragement and support y’all.  We are overwhelmed with gratitude by your offers to help.  It is not easy to reach out in this manner and we were admittedly very hesitant, but hope this is not taken in any other spirit than that of sincere humility. For those who would like to and are able to, we would very much appreciate and would humbly accept your thoughtful donation as we prepare for our move and next chapter.  We understand if you are not able to donate and would very much welcome your good vibes and prayers just as much. If we meet our goal that would be amazing but even if we don't we are still very grateful for you.  We have all the love and appreciation for each of you and thank you again for all your love and support.   We will continue to update you as soon as we hear more.  As we wait for answers, we hold tight to the knowledge that we are not in this alone and thank you so very much for all the good vibes, love and prayers.  We feel stronger than ever that God has something wonderful planned and can’t wait for what is next!
