Hanuabada Village Fire Appeal - NSW
On 19th August 2017, a devastating fire swept through part of the village of Hanuabada in Port Moresby Papua New Guinea, taking down 15 houses in its path and affecting 12 other nearby houses. Another fire incident occurred on the 22nd Aug destroying 3 more houses.
These unfortunate events have now displaced over 200 people, men women and children, who have since been residing under temporary open-ended tents near the disaster site.
The funds raised on this site will go towards the rebuilding of homes for the victims and help them rebuild their lives. Every dollar donated will count as it will make a difference in the lives of the families who lost everything in the fire.
One day they will walk into their new homes and what will be most rewarding is to see the smiles on their faces, and seeing hope restored back into their lives. Let's make a difference!
