Hands Helping Heroes Matt Daniels Fund

Leaving the service, and rejoining society after serving your country is often very hard & confusing. Many of our men & women are coming back from combat with injuries,  and often depression and uncertainty set in. Many Veterans need help and are too proud to ask.

KIA Memorial Roadmarch KMR, Hands Healing Heroes, Two Guys Construction and Niagara Falls Councilmen Ken Tompkins have come together to form Hands Helping Heroes. A fundraiser with the goal of raising $45,000 to rehab a Local Veteran's (Matt Daniels) home. Alone we can not accomplish this mission but together, with your help anything is possible.

Hands Helping Heroes is proud to introduce to you Matt Daniels or as we all lovingly call him "Wheels" E4 Specialist Matthew Daniels of Niagara Falls, NY served with the United States Army from 2006 to 2010. During that time, Specialist Daniels served in the 101st Airborne Division in Iraq, and received a variety or awards including the National Defense Service Medal, the Iraq Campaign Medal with Campaign Star, as well as the Combat Infantry Badge, among others. While fighting to protect our Country and freedoms Matt suffered a back injury while deployed. Unfortunately these injuries have led to progressive nerve damage to his legs, leaving Matt dependent on a wheelchair.

Even through all life has thrown at him, Matt has not lost his infectious spirit or sense of humor. He inspires each and every person he meets to never give up, always do better,  to  be better.  He is a loving dedicated husband and father. Matt and his wife Kristin have 4 children. He plays on The Warriors Veteran Hockey team. Recently Matt partook in the Special  Olympics Polar Plunge in Buffalo NY raising funds for Special Needs Children.

Matt needs our help!! His house needs to be rehabbed to make it wheelchair friendly and safe. This is a ambitious goal but we believe with our organizations, businesses,  and the community's help we can accomplish this goal. We have set up a Facebook group ( Hands Helping Heroes) so all can watch the progress on this mission. Lets give back to a man who has already given us and our country so much.  All donations are tax deductible. Please help us, help Matt because "NO SOLDIER SHOULD EVER MARCH ALONE!!"
