Half a Glass of Water by David Ireland
Spende geschützt
Hello!
My name is Nicholas Sturman. I’m a theatre professional based in Dublin. This September, I’ll be making my directorial debut with David Ireland's Half a Glass of Water at the Smock Alley Theatre Boys’ School.
Half a Glass of Water is a dark, tense play about two people at very different stages in their lives, both touched by horror in their own ways. Sombre and touching, it’s a story about moving on even where there's nowhere to go.
Working in theatre is challenging and expensive. I’m a firm believer that all industry professionals should be paid a living wage—if possible. And I am determined to make it possible on this production.
My minimum operational costs come to €5,000. This covers:
* Actor wages
* Crew wages
* Set design and production
* Space rental
* Rights costs
These expenses do not include profit—I’m doing this for the love of the craft, covering costs and nothing more.
If you love storytelling, if you love Dublin theater, if you love supporting young directors, please consider supporting this production.
And, of course, I’d be delighted to see you at the show, September 1st and 2nd! Tickets go on sale later this summer, and I’ll drop a link here.
Thank you in advance for your generosity!
