Hairdresser Mom Needs Your Help!

We're calling on all those who love their hairdresser to help our hairdresser, Maureen Tubridy, while she recovers from surgery.

We have known Maureen for over 25 years. She is originally from Ireland but has lived in Boston for much of her life. She has two sons-- a freshman in college and a high school junior.

If you know Maureen, then you know she is smart, hardworking, funny, and kind. She works tirelessly to ensure her children have what they need to grow into successful, happy, healthy men. In addition to working full time at the salon, she supplements her income by caring for older people in their homes, doing everything from providing personal care to someone with Alzheimer's Disease to playing Boggle with someone who needs company. What is especially impressive, however, is that she does these things with such a sincere warmth that it never appears as paid chores but rather an extension of her generous, empathetic spirit.

An accident and ensuing surgery that requires three months of recovery mean three months of no income for Maureen. It will require her to exhaust her savings and sink into debt. This does not need to happen if we can all pull together and be her community support. We are calling on friends, friends of friends and like-minded, generous strangers to help provide Maureen with a safety net during her recovery.
