Haigan was a bright shining light.
It's with great sadness that we have to say goodbye.
Haigan had been struggling with depression for a long time. It was a battle she fought with great strength and courage. However, the depression became too much. She was taken.
As many of you know, Haigan was living in Los Angeles. She was an incredibly talented actor and musician and had moved there to pursue her dreams.
Haigan's family will be travelling to LA to bring her home. Travel to the United States is a huge expense, as you can imagine. For Haigan's family (her mother, Louise, and her sisters Masae and Shifra), we would like to reach out and ask for financial support to help cover their airfare, Haigan's cremation and associated costs, as well as any other related expenses that may (and will) arise.
[Updated] The Day family have started discussing possible plans for any additional funds raised. Funds will contribute to a lovely memorial celebration for Haigan. They are also talking about potentially putting something towards a scholarship in Haigan's name or donating to mental health awareness/education/research. It may also go towards therapy for the Day family. The Day family will decide after they have returned from LA. As you can imagine, they are taking it one day at a time. Although we have reached our nominal goal of $5000, please be assured that additional contributions will be put to very good use.
