Hackercats are Going to Worlds!

The Hackercats FIRST Tech Challenge (FTC) Robotics team is from Lakeville South High School in Lakeville, Minnesota. Each year the team competes in two state qualifying tournaments with the hope of earning a spot at the state championship. This is the third year they have made it to the state championships and the first year they have earned a spot at the World Championships in Houston Texas on April 16-20, 2024.

For the last five years the Hackercats team has been working hard building more than just robots. Yes, they have designed, built, and modified their robot to meet each year's challenge. In addition to those skills, they have been working on life long skills such as collaboration and communication. Each season they give presentations to local businesses, volunteer their time at local events, and share their knowledge of robotics with other students.

The team is very excited to go to the world championships. However, the estimated cost for nine players and their coach to attend is $25,000. This cost includes the $2000 registration fee, air fare, hotel, and food. The Hackercats and their families would greatly appreciate any donation you are able to contribute.
