Habitat for Humanity Damaged by Hurricane Laura

Tax deductible
On August 27th, Hurricane Laura passed through Louisiana causing widespread damage.  In Monroe, LA, Habitat for Humanity had just completed their 50th house and was preparing for the closing with the new owner and the home dedication on August 29th.

Hurricane force winds toppled a large red oak and crashed into the front of the house, destroying the front porch and coming through the roof and ceiling into the kitchen and family room.  A large part of the damage is covered by insurance, but we are needing to raise $10,000 to cover the insurance deductible.  We hope to have the house re-built and ready for move-in by November 1st.
