Victimized Family Needs your Support

Spende geschützt
As a result of a recent hate motivated attack in Edmonton, Alberta, the Somali Bantu Society of Alberta is asking Canadians to help and support the victim of this horrific act of violence. With the hopes of helping the victim and her family get back to their lives, which have been greatly impacted.

On Saturday, January 1st , 2022, there was a devastating hate fueled attack that occurred against a Black Muslim women infront of the Al-Ameen Mosque in Edmonton, Alberta. The facts of this case are particularly troubling, as the attacker spat on the victim's car window, punched the car numerous times with his fists, uttered several violent Islamophobic threats, and damaged the mosque’s property, all while the victim’s young children sat inside the car. As you can imagine, attacks of this nature are very traumatic and can have a lifelong negative impact on the victim, her family, and those involved.

As the victim’s family moves forward and into the healing process, the Somali Bantu Society of Alberta is working with them to assist in facilitating financial and other relevant support that the family urgently requires to overcome this traumatic incident. We are asking fellow Canadians to generously donate to the family as they attempt to get back to normalcy.

On behalf of the Somali Bantu Society of Alberta and the victim, we sincerely appreciate and thank our fellow Canadian brothers and sisters who would like to contribute to this important cause.
