Night shift differential pay

Night differential premium pay was illegally taken away from federal employees that worked in powerhouses nationwide when the DOD Wage Fixing Authority was created in 1982.
 In April 2015, the Federal Labor Relations Authority (68 FLRA No.76)https://www.flra.gov/decisions/v68/68-76.html) ruled
that the DOD Wage Fixing Authority could continue setting compensation rates in accordance with the Supplemental Appropriations Act without violating the Sunday premium requirements of title 5 section 6128(c). 
The FLRA went on to say "the SAA's plain wording states that the DOD Wage Fixing Authority sets wages without regard to any other provision of the law limiting the amounts payable to prevailing rate employees".
 In light of this recent ruling, our legal council strongly believes that night shift differential could be reinstated under title 5 section 5343 which entitles prevailing rate employees to be paid premium pay(night shift differential).
 Our Local 2219 is willing to take up this fight against an injustice that was impinged against ALL federal hydroelectric shift workers across the nation. We are a small local with less than sixty dues paying members. But due to the recent FLRA decision we feel the time to pursue this is now! After going to arbitration on a recent issue over Sunday premium pay in which we prevailed, the agency appealed the arbitrator's decision to the FLRA in which we also prevailed. Due to agency appealling the Arbitrator's decision, our local Union coffers have incured a large debt.
 If night differential could benefit you or someone you know, we are asking that you, either individually or your labor organization donate to this fund. One-hundred percent of all funds received will go to pay legal fees. If we prevail in our current arbitration, it will likely be appealed as with past rulings. If night shift differential premium pay is reinstated, not only will it effect your future pay(10%)when working nights but will also increase individual retirements of every individual affected by this monumental ruling!
 We are asking everyone that works under the Department of Defense Wage Fixing Authority schedules in the Pacific Northwest, Missouri River, Southeast, North Central, and Southwest  that will be affected by the outcome of this case to please donate to this fund.
