Hearing Aids

I've been hard of hearing my whole life.  I'm in graduate school and I am planning on becoming a psychotherapist.  I struggle to hear in the classroom and I am concerned that I will struggle to hear my clients as I step into my internship in the fall.  I am hoping to get a new pair of Widex hearing aids.  They are more expensive because they are not just amplifiers.  They are complex sound adapters that will help me hear where there is background noise and varying degrees of volume.
It is a daily struggle to try my best to hear, to manage captionists in my classes, to ask people to speak up, and to fill in the gaps by lipreading.  It takes up a huge amount of brain power and energy!  With new hearing aid technology I will have a massively easier time in my classes and in my personal life.  Getting support would mean the world to me.  Being hard of hearing can be isolating, frustrating, and exhausting.  I am so humbled and so grateful for any help that can be offered!
