My name is Isabelle. I am a Bernese Mountain Dog who was lost in Issaquah, WA. I was first seen wandering by myself in early September 2014.
Some kind folks who saw me then immediately alerted other people to see if anyone was missing me. They did not find any owners for me, they looked high & low.
The hoomans tried to catch me many many times! I just would not have that, I was scared and would run away.
The nice people kept looking for me & finally caught me after 2 months & 10 days, on 10th Nov 2014.
Then Kim, the nice rescue lady from the Bernese Mountain Dog Club of Greater Seattle (bmdcgs.org) rushed me to the vet after she caught me by showing me she was not a threat.
I was checked out by the vet today after who knows how long!
I am too skinny and weigh 59Lbs which is very low for a full grown Berner like me. The doc thinks I am 2-3 years old.
I have a huge hematoma on my ear (the size of an actual tennis ball) and am needing surgery. They say they may have to partially amputate my ear, I don't know what that means. My ear surgery alone is going to cost atleast $1200.00
Any money that is donated will go first and foremost to get medical care for me. Any contributions over what medical expenses amount to will go to helping other Bernese like me through the Bernese Mountain Dog of Greater Seattle Rescue. (bmdcgs.org)
I am also going to need more vet care to get me healthy again so my ribs do not show through & I become a healthy Bernese Mountain Dog. I know the world is tough, I have been out there myself & fending for myself for atleast 4 months based on some sighting reports. If there is anyway you can help me with my medical expenses, I would be so very grateful.
This is my story so far...once I am healthy, I can maybe go home to a nice and kind family the rescue picks for me. So then I can have a great future.
