Medical Mission to Guatemala

I have been selected to participate in a medical mission trip to Guatemala in February of 2013 with an organization called DOCARE International. A team from my medical school and I will be traveling down to Guatemala for 3 weeks. The medical team is comprised of physicians and 3rd/4th year medical students. Last year, they treated over 400 patients per day over 8 clinical days. 3200 patients were seen total- most of which have never received any medical care.

This is where I need YOUR help! Ever since this opportunity arose, my wife and I felt strongly that this is something I should be a part of. Medical missions has always been desire of mine since I started the journey to become a physician back in 2005. Although it is not an extremely large amount of money, it is an unforeseen expense for our family. Its an amount of money that we just don't have. We have been fortunate enough to survive strictly on student loans since I have been in medical school- which is not a lot of money for a family of 4! 

Again, I need your help to reach this financial goal! For the first 10 individuals that make a donation in the amount of $100.00 or more, you will receive 1 lb. of Guatemala's finest export... coffee that is! It will be sent/given to you upon my return. Its a small way of saying thank you for your financial support and participation in sending me to help those in need. I am trying to reach this goal by November 1st, so any amount of donation is greatly appreciated and will make a difference!
