Guatemala Home-Building

The Daniels family is heading to Antigua, Guatemala in January 2019 to volunteer with IVHQ (International Volunteer Headquarters) to work alongside local foremen on projects focused on home-building and school and orphanage renovation.  The primary objective of the volunteer project is to improve levels of nutrition, hygiene and education in local communities.  To that end, we will also work with children from local homes and communities in schools, daycares, and orphanages.  We are very excited for this opportunity.

We'd like to be able to provide supplies for these projects.  We have been encouraged to buy these supplies in Guatemala so they 1.  Don't get stuck in customs, and 2.  Boost the local economy. 

Much needed items include vitamins (prenatal and children's chewable); hygiene items (toothbrushes, toothpaste, soap and shampoo); school supplies (notebooks, pens/pencils/markers/erasers); craft supplies (popsicle sticks, glue, paper plates, glitter); medical supplies (latex gloves, bandaids, bandages, antiseptics, aspirin and other pain relievers, cough syrup, allergy medicine, antibiotic cream); anthelmintic medication (antiparasitic); and anti-lice treatments (shampoo/pills).

Anything you can contribute will be used to buy these supplies and 100% of your donation will go directly towards the local community.
