Help Jude Get Emergency Surgery

Jude is a 5 month old Italian Greyhound. He is our best friend and he is the sweetest little boy you could ever meet.
Late last night, we came home to Jude and found him with a severely broken leg. His foot and ankle bones had been entirely separated at the tibia which was broken completely through. We immediately brought him to an emergency veterinary clinic in the closest city which was 45 minutes away in the middle of the night. There, they performed x-rays which confirmed what we could see (his ankle was clearly not attached beyond the skin on the exterior). We are not sure what had happened but ours and the vets' best guess is that he got it caught in our return air vent grate in the floor which caused him to make a sudden movement while trying to free it. This initial vet visit was $648. We were then told that when our vet opened in the morning we would need to take him there to find out what the next steps were.
Today, we brought Jude into our vet clinic to find out more. After a thorough examination and consulting with an orthopedic surgeon we have been told that our only options are either an expensive surgery to add a bone plate ($3500) or amputation ($1500). The only way to save his leg is to perform the bone plate surgery by the specialist. On top of the enormous costs, this surgery would need to be performed as soon as humanly possible which is why we have turned to Go Fund Me for help. 100% of the money donated will go towards Jude's vet bills and emergency surgery.
We are giving this all we have got but we just don't have enough right now to pull together for the surgery. We just want our little Jude to live a full life and not be held back forever by the loss of his leg at such a young age. It would mean the world to us and to him to be able to pull through this.
