Go, Finn, Go!
Finn age 4, Rifton Special Needs Adapted TrikeDear Friends,
You have prayed, baked, and cheered our Finn on through dozens of operations, procedures, medical puzzles, insurance woes and so much more. Now we have a desire that isn’t about our sweet boy Medically Thriving, it’s about himhaving a chance to be like his friends as he grows. Finn is wonderfully made, exactly how God wanted him to be. The challenges he faces with simple things like safely riding a trike or bike, are road blocks, but not permanent ones thanks to amazing companies like Rifton that makes bikes with for people with muscular/skeletal issues like Finn. The bike shown keeps his body and legs safe while learning to ride and grows with him up to age 10! It’s similar to one he uses at physical therapy every week.
These little speed bumps in helping Finn grow are invitations for me and Jay (and you) to get creative about offering him the freedom and opportunity to just be a kid, meeting social and physical milestones and making memories like everyone else.
Disabled does not mean unable. He can do i t but we need your help. These adapted bikes run between $1500-$2300 for a kid like Finn.
Help us to help him feel the pride every kid getswhen they cruise down the street solo for the first time on their new wheels. Because he really truly is more alike than different. And every kid deserves a bike to ride!
