Groceries for our Neighbors EMERGENCY FUNDRAISER

The Groceries for Our Neighbors food distribution program for Urban Partners Los Angeles is in emergency need of funding. We have sustained ourselves with grants and fundraising for over 25 years. Over the last six months, we experienced a 40% increase in weekly activity compared to last year. Two local food pantries closed in the last year creating further pressure on food resources.

This is an emergency request for funding to raise $10,000 to continue operations without interruption for the rest of 2019.

Groceries for our Neighbors is a critical supply of food for Koreatown and its surrounding neighborhoods. Each Saturday, a team of 20 to 30 volunteers pass out over 25,000 lbs. of groceries to over 400 individuals which helps feed hundreds more of their family members each week.
