Hey, folks! If you've followed my journey, you know this past year has been quite the rollercoaster for me. Thankfully, things are turning around, and I'm closing out the year with a new vision and hope for 2023!
Last week, I found the perfect office space for my therapy practice, and I just signed the lease earlier today! Now, it's game time! No turning back at this point! I'm ready to get to work!
I’ve got until March to rebuild my caseload and transform this old classroom into a therapy office. With your help, I'm hoping to create a healing and training space that will:
- Offer individual, couples, and group counseling services to underserved communities in the D.C. and Maryland area
- Center Black healing, with a unique, but not exclusive, focus on men’s issues and LGBTQ issues.
- Foster the growth of clinicians-in-training, in partnership with local HBCUs
- Provide high-quality, on-site supervision and consultation
- Promote access to discounted training and professional development in the following areas: racial trauma, generational trauma, holistic healing, ancestral healing, psychedelic-assisted treatment, Internal Family Systems (IFS) Therapy, Couples Counseling, Cross-cultural Engagement, Sexual Health and Sex Counseling
Immediate Needs
- Secure office (security deposit, certificate of occupancy, registration fees, insurance, etc.)
- Consultation with StudioHue (a local, Black-owned interior design studio)
- Remodel (supplies and labor)
- Decor and furniture

- Electricity: $72.48 (6% of the monthly rent)
