Hello I am the Director, Siobhán Cleary of the Green shoots film festival in Tramore in Ireland. We need your support and donations to produce our third edition of the film festival in 2025.

Our Vision

Green Shoots Film Festival will be screening a powerful series of screenings of international feature documentaries, features and short films on climate change, ocean conservation, eco-feminism, biodiversity, trees, beautiful gardens, renewable energy and visions of a caring economy.

Our festival is led by CLIMATE SOLUTIONS the power of people in restoring and protecting nature, a reimagined sustainable future, one in which we can all thrive and prosper, a world for the majority, one in which we all can live.

Our festival films are the visions of a new generation of thinkers, creators and builders with sustainable visions of a caring economy, one filled with hope for a new earth. There will be panels and Q&A's with filmmakers, directors, producers, environmentalists and climate activists in Tramore in Ireland on Saturday 21st June 2025.

As storms, hurricanes, floods and wildfires rage across the winter landscape of Europe and US, today it is a climate crisis. In the Amazon in Brazil, a major part of the forest as large as Italy, was destroyed by the recent waves of forest fires and in Ireland, storms are uprooting trees, destroying homes, devastating land and infrastructure. Despite all the climate denial and the fossil fuel lobbyists, the science is undeniable. 2024 is on track to become the hottest year on record. Global temperatures are on course for a rise of 3 degrees, a level which could result in the end of humanity on this planet. The opportunity is now, to turn it around.

Green washing by the mainstream media with false stories about climate change, propaganda by the far right and climate deniers, funded lobbyists, oligarchs and billionaires are controlling our digital feeds, now more than ever we need the truth about the climate and climate solutions for and by the people.

We need independent media which can deliver, real stories with solutions from, farmers and regenerative agriculture, solutions from Ocean conservation, climate solutions created and led by communities, a world which the majority can thrive and prosper in a sustainable future for all.

There is no future unless we can tell the true story, unless we can hear the voices of leaders who are the frontline defenders of the land. We cannot turn it around, unless we listen to what is happening, to the disappearing marine life, the rivers, the forests, the trees, the fish, the animals and the last of the biodiversity on mother earth.

Who will speak for the trees? Who will hear the voice of the river? Who will be there to dive into the sea and listen to the heartbeat of the ocean bed? Who will hear the tree falling in the forests? Who will catch the last wave?
