Gardening Kits for local primary schools

In memory of Joanne, Hollie’s Mam, we will tomorrow in The Olive Stone be raising money to create gardening packs including seeds, bulbs and pots etc to donate to local primary schools for their gardens and forest schools. Joanne loved gardening and potted seeds with Darcie and Emilia. She encouraged everyone to get out in the garden and grow fruit, vegetables and flowers . I always feel closer to my Mam when I am gardening.

Tomorrow is her birthday and the past year has been a struggle and most days overwhelming. My Grandma passed away on my Mam’s 60th birthday last year. My Grandma was a teacher so it feels fitting to combine their passions to create a difference to the children in our local community. So if you are able to donate tomorrow, we do have a limited number of candles, so please take one. You can light it at home in my Mam’s memory as she really was and is the light of many lives.

Thank you for your continued support and hopefully we can raise money tomorrow to make a difference to some of our local schools. We will share the journey with you.
