Grandpa Kohlmeier's Fund

As many of you are aware, Northern California has been recently ravaged by a terrible series of fires. My grandfather, Friedrich Kohlmeier, lost his home and all of his worldly possessions in the Atlas Peak Fire in Napa County. He lost everything, all he has left are the clothes on his back. He lived in this home for over 40 years with my grandmother and they made many memories there. They had a 3-acre ranch complete with dogs, cats, chickens, goats, and horses. Sadly, many of the animals lost their lives during the fire as it all happened so quickly. My grandmother passed away a few years ago and she left behind a number of possessions and antiques she had collected over her life; all of it is gone. He is 75 years old and his only income is his Social Security. He needs this money for clothes, food, and the general cost of living. We're trying to figure out a temporary living situation as well. My father is doing his best to support him, but he needs help. Any contributions will be appreciated. I'm hesitant in asking people for money like this and feel terrible doing so. I know every one of you has your own financial struggles, so if you're unable to donate that's okay. Even if you cannot donate, please spread the word about what is happening in California right now; the damage that has been done is absolutely devastating. If you could, please share this so it gets to more people. As many of you know, I'm in Arizona so the help I can provide to him is limited. I'm going to be flying out there on the 17th of this month to assist him with cleanup and recovery of items. I will then give him what money we've raised and close this campaign.
