My basketball coach Marc Gorenstein and his wife Samantha are family to me and my teammates.  They have supported me and my team through some dark times. They are the cutest couple ever! They got married five years ago and we all anxiously awaited the time that they would have kids, as everyone knows how much they love kids.  They have been struggling with fertility issues and sought help to get pregnant. The doctor’s knew that Sam was not ovulating, so had to medically induce her cycle. They were thrilled and excited to finally be pregnant.  Unfortunately they lost their first baby in a miscarriage in the first trimester. It was devastating. Sadly, Sam has a condition called Premature Ovarian Failure, which means that her eggs are not viable.  For the last few years they have been going through a lot of very expensive treatments and testing to find out what is wrong and now that they know they will need to find an egg donor and pursue implantation of a fertilized embryo. They are both teachers and this is a huge financial burden.  My hope is that the community that loves them will help make this dream to be parents a reality. They would be the best parents ever! We all love them so much.
