On 20 November 2017, gorgeous Aspen Bourne was diagnosed with a cancerous brain tumor which took up 1/3 of her little head. She was rushed to Lady Cilento children's hospital from the Gold Coast where she underwent immediate brain surgery. Our usually chatty and very happy girl (who's approaching her 3rd birthday) can no longer walk or talk since the removal of the large tumor, but she's improving slowly day by day. Her mum and dad are by her side day in and day out, reminding her of the beautiful life she has had so far and how she will get back there one day, but they all have a long journey ahead. Both her parents Byron & Rob cannot continue full time work at the moment and are both offering full time care, taking turns staying at the hospital each night, exhausted but trying to show their strength. Their little girl will have a long journey ahead of her and she will begin daily treatment for 6 weeks of radiation therapy once she has recovered from her operation and 2 additional procedures. Any funds raised will help the Bourne family support Aspen fully during this unimagineably difficult time. Aspen has showed strength and character beyond her years, that's why we would like to give her a holiday of her choice once she's better! Where she can have something to look forward to while she stuck in her hospital bed. Thank you to all your support and prayers.
