Everybody deserves good food. At First Lutheran Food Pantry, we know that good food can be a catalyst for change. We've seen it act as a powerful tool that can transform one's health, strengthen community solidarity, foster social connections, and even challenge inequality. You Are Welcome Here!
My name is Hannah Johnson. I created the First Lutheran Food Pantry right here in Clarion, Iowa. Our motto is You Are Welcome Here, and we truly mean that! Anyone can come to the Food Pantry once a month regardless of your income, where you live, where you are from, the language you speak, You Are Welcome Here! Each family is treated with the highest dignity and respect you would want to be treated with.
In light of the pandemic we have seen a spike in the number of people we serve. It is not easy having the strength the admit you need help feeding your family. We currently see 400 shoppers each month coming in for food. Unfortunately, from the rise in unemployment, that number is growing.
All funds that are donated will be spent to purchase food to feed anyone who comes to our doors. It is so important that we work together and give what we can during this time. I am so grateful for the opportunity to help others. Please give so we may continue to ensure everyone goes to bed without hunger.
